Introduction AUS Identity and principles
AUS is a private school which provides a natural, healthy atmosphere for
all students to learn effectively. It is a school for everyone, regardless of
race, religion, sect or sex. No student is to be
discriminated against, and all students are to be equally respected and fairly
treated. What’s more, AUS provides a family like atmosphere to all students to
enchance and suspport the learning process. Our students to enchance and support
the learning, a positive self – esteem, and emotional well being. They are
encouraged to develop self – discipline and personal responsibility. They are
also offered medical help in Rayak hospital in case of emergencies. In addition,
we have two visiting doctors, Dr. Ali Raed ( family Dr. ) + Dr. Mehdi Fouani (
Optician + Eye Surgery ) In our school, students are
death with as whole human beings having different aspects to their identity –
the cognitive, the physical, the emotional and psychological, and the social.
This is precisely why AUS backs up its students and their families during
difficult times. It is important to mention her that Aus is not an American
School in the sense that it is too lenient with its students. Rather, the
administrators aim at striking a balance between being understanding and being
quite firm. Though physical punistment is not used by the teachers, the
supervisors have the authority to choose the punishments is not used by the
teachers, the supervisors have the autority to choose the pinishment that befits
each case, be it verbal reproaches, written punishments, or even physical
punishments. No matter what the punishment is, it is usually given with
affection and not hostility; our ain is to make students understand their
mistakes and learn from them, and not hurt them. This is how we hope to raise
new generations that are more capable of self – actualization and the building
of a better society. Effective collaboration between the school and the parents
makes this aim even easier to reach. Like the turtte , slow but relentless, we
march together on the road that will lead us to success slowly but surely . Some Rules and
Regaulations : -
A school starts at 8:00 a.m and
ends at 2:20 p.m Unexcused lateness or leaving before the end of the day is not
allowed . -
Students are expected to wear the
school uniformat all days and the sports uniform on sports days. Their hair and
nails must be clean and tidy at all times. No excessive jewelery is allowed in
school. -
Absences schould be explained as
soon as the student returns to school. Make – up tests are not allowed except
in severe cases. -
Swearing, cursing or using foul
language is strictly forbidden in school. -
Using physical violence with
friends or anyone else is strictly forbidden in school. -
If a student wishes to make a
birthday party or any other party in class, he / she should ask permission at
least the day before . -
Students are expected to take good
care of their books and belongings. Copy books should be neat and handwriting
clear. Agendas should be written daily. -
The school shop offers breakfast
sandwiches and other things. Students are expected to wait for their turns
without pushing. -
Students are strictly prohibited
from smoking. -
Going down and up the stairs must
be a calm and disciplined process at all times of the day. -
Students are expected to face their
problems and try to solve them, not run away from them. -
Students are expected to consider
their school like their our homes, to be kept clean and secure for the well –
being of all. This sense of belonging will reinforce everyone’s efforts and
make their aims attainable. Grading System, Exams, And Meetings
- The school year is divided into three trimesters and students receive grade booklets at the end of each trimester. - Students receive daily, monthly, and term tests grades each trimester. - Students sit for monthly as well as term tests. - Parents , Teachers meetings are scheduled after the distribution of grade book lets at the end of each term. - Parents can follw the progress of their kids with the director of studies on Friday of each week, all day. Extra Cirricular
Activities - The AUS basket ball team plays games against other teams, including FTC ( Future Technical College ) team. - K.G students are taken on recreational trips to places like Best Home, McDonald s, and others. - K.G students are taken on field trips to a farm, different professions, factories, etc. - Upper classes are taken on recreational trips during spring season - School celebrates different occasions like Independence Day, X-Mas , Eid Al-Fitr , Eid Al- Adha , Easter, Teachers Day, Mothers Day, and others.
